"Forever Young #3"
"Forever Young #3" utilizes a multi-step process to transfer the paint to the canvas. First, the canvas was primed and allowed to dry. Next, I used 6 wind-up toys to paint the top layer in contrasting colors. These toys were dipped in paint, wound up, and placed on the canvas pointed in various directions. I gave them different starting points, with different colors until I was pleased with the final composition. Here are the "artists":
The lobster was pretty much useless, but the other 5 toys each produced a distinctive pattern. The crab walked sideways and made thick, gradually fading bands. The dinosour, zebra, and ram made parallel tracks in different widths. The caterpiller left behind long, thin streaks of paint. This series is intended to be whimsical and fun (and an interesting conversation piece).
